Chris Kelly is the Chief Privacy Officer and Head of Global Public Policy at
Facebook, guiding Facebook’s efforts to make the Internet a safer and more trusted place. He has previously served as Chief Privacy Officer at three other Internet companies, Spoke Software, Excite@Home, and Kendara. As an attorney in private practice at Baker & McKenzie and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, Chris advised major Internet and media clients on the increasing challenges of intellectual property and privacy protection for the digital age. In the public sector, Chris served as an policy advisor in the Clinton Administration. He holds a bachelors degree from Georgetown University, an MA in Political Science from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology and part of the founding team for the Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
