Krista is the Practice Lead for the Information and Communications Sector at MaRS Discovery District where she leads a broad group of executive level advisors to help innovative tech-based entrepreneurs create successful global businesses and to support their growth. She brings deep technical, operational and marketing expertise in technology-based businesses developed over 20+ years in the Information, Communications and Technology industry. Over the years she has held executive positions in operations, engineering, marketing and business development for companies such as Nortel, MTS Allstream (formerly AT&T Canada), Metronet (the most successful start-up Competitive Local Exchange Carrier in Canada) and Personeta (an Israel-based venture-backed software startup). Krista has a proven track record in creating and executing service developments, next generation technology implementations, corporate strategies and business plans. Krista has years of experience in leading technology developments, both from a market and an engineering perspective. She and her husband own a children’s technology educational franchise that fosters early innovation and creativity in robotics, animation, digital art, and video game design. Krista is a professional engineer who holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
