Martin Abrams is Executive Director of the Centre for Information Policy Leadership at Hunton & Williams LLP, a global privacy and information security think tank, and an advisor to the Business Forum for Consumer Privacy. Mr. Abrams brings more than 30 years' experience as a policy innovator to the Centre, where he pursues practical solutions to privacy and security problems. He is a leading theorist on global transfers of data based on accountability, and has led the movement in the US to adopt harms based approaches to privacy. He was a leader in developing layered privacy notices, and is currently working to bridge cultural differences in privacy. Mr. Abrams has led privacy programs on five continents, and is part of the APEC Data Privacy Subgroup.
